California allows Rabies titres? Seriously interested in this. I have 2 dogs, the youngest a recent rescue that was vax up the yazoo. Where as my oldest is 14 Yrs and on no vax except dreaded Rabies, which she’s had every year since I got her at 1Y. She’s always loved everyone.
My boy is the recent rescue. He’s about 5 yrs now. He came with extreme fear issues including fear biting. Was going thru fosters like potato chips. (Because being scared and snapping biting). I fostered him initially and saw his issues were from fear and since fostering he only bit me as we worked thru his issues. I then adopted him. Finally he can sleep in my bed with out startling. He had ‘the shot’ from shelter of course, and another after I adopted him when he had anesthesia for dental cleaning. Would really like to avoid Rabies as I know fear biting can have cause from shot directly.
Thoughts please?

Bob,
My family also lives in CA and we were told that our state does not allow for titers instead of re-vaccination. I've just done a Google search and don't find anything that says it does so I'd really appreciate it if you could help me get this information. I have a friend whose first 2 small dogs died after getting a rabies vaccine. My vaccinated cats and dogs have all suffered vaccine damage so titers are accepted instead, I know many people who will gladly do that.
Thank you.

Thanks for sharing that, Bob. Autoimmune disease scared the pants off of me in vet school. Less so now, but it's no walk in the park to cure.
I'm glad you're committed to avoiding future vaccines after seeing the nightmare in Max.
