Replies on Apoquel : Dog Drug With a Dark Side - Homeopath Vet

Hello! My cocker girl is doing well on Apoquel the past 4-6 months. She's on thyroid med, and Proin, as well, and she is the only cocker (american) we've owned (previous were english type) that has health issues (ears get daily treatment, as she's prone to yeast and bacterial infections due to thyroid)..... we are thankful for Apoquel, it's been a life saver. She has been on grain free expensive dog food since we adopted her 3 years ago. (She's 8 yrs old.) We also bathe her with Hexedene weekly.

Hi Joanne, My cocker has the same exact symptoms as yours, I have changed her food to no grains, and am now making her snacks, with beef and veggies. She has been on Apoquil for about a year, and they dont seem to be working anymore. Did it take your cocker a while for the diet change to make a difference? If it did, but has made all the difference, I am willing to take my baby off these meds, and wait for the diet change to take affect. Reading all these posts, about the ill effects of this drug make my want to stop giving it to her now. Thank you in advance for your response.
