Wow, I’m so sorry about your dog????my 10.5 yr old German shepherd at 4 yrs old had a terrible allergic reaction to her rabies and yearly suggested vaccines given all at one time. After that it was like her immune system just crashed. She had repeated bouts of interdigital cysts and finally was given Apoquel. After being on Apoquel for maybe 7 months, she was vomiting large amounts of blood. I took her off the appoquel, but her immune system was definitely compromised. She was on very strong antibiotics and foot soaks for months. As soon as the antibiotics stopped her cysts would come back. It got so bad she did not want to walk. A year ago I had her put to sleep, it was a terrible day. After her first vaccine allergic reaction, I was up all night with her panting, I got titer tests for all her vaccines. But in Florida they do not accept titer on rabies. Every 3 years she had a bad reaction even with being given Benadryl as was suggested, until I refused to vaccinate her. Over vaccination with the wrong adjuvant and Apoquel. I wish I would have known all of this when she was a youngster. I miss her terribly. Apoquel is horrible.
