As ear issues are chronic disease, no conventional veterinarian will ever cure them, and, as you've seen, can often make them worse.

And ask questions before you sign on (vaccines? drugs? diet?). Make sure you find a good fit.
This can be cured, but like all chronic disease, it will take time. That's just the nature of the beast.
Also: no more vaccines for this guy. That's what brought this disease on in the first place.
