I can’t figure out how to comment to you doctor, but I wanted to share my dogs experience. She’s a ten year old Maltipoo with constant chewing on her feet. We put her on this drug and progressively she was running around the house and couldn’t settle down. Up and down all night plus constant drinking and urinating. I thought it was dementia but then how could it happen so fast. She was on two times a day and I tried one time a day for two weeks. No change so I went to none. Within three weeks there was an incredible change. She can lay around like the other dogs. Sleep in her bed all night. No more excessive drinking. I feel so badly as I was ready to put her to sleep. Now she is a relaxed laid back dog. She still chews her feet so I need to figure that out, but a huge difference for the better.

Hi, I’ve been reading all this and am now horrified that I gave apoquel to my baby. We ran out a few days ago so I’ve just been giving her Benadryl. The problem is that she seems to have withdrawal symptoms. Is that possible? What can I do about it?

I've never used Apoquel but years ago when we had a dog with severe allergies and were foolishly using Dr. Whitecoat, our poor girl suffered terribly. The allergies started just weeks after she got her second rabies vaccine - bam! It hit her like a ton of bricks. We tried everything conventional medicine offered with no help. We even did the injections from the veterinary dermatologist for 3 yrs. She was so bad that only steroids would stop her from scratching and biting herself so bad she would bleed and tear her skin all up. Of course, those gave her cancer and she had to be euthanized. If only I knew then what I know now. I'm so grateful for you, homeopathy and natural living information.
