Distemper and parvo can be very real but I had two puppies I got in Oct and neither of them got it. Any disease can be beat if you give the immune system time to work. When you vaccinate even for something like parvo and distemper, you are depressing the immune system. My dogs were exposed to everything gradually to build up that system and now are older and just fine.
