Ruling out? Sounds like a money grab to me. Odds are, it's kennel cough if he got it after visiting their clinic, and that's a self-limiting "cold" that no one dies of. It's beyond the scope of comments or emails to help you, but I'd recommend hiring a true homeopathic vet to prescribe for your pup.
