I'm only now, after publishing on the CDC's new rabies prevention ruling on my Substack, realizing there's an entire (and entirely crooked!) industry importing foreign dogs for profit! That's about to stop, as of August 1, 2024, but not without consequences to the honest people who cross borders with healthy dogs.
