A way I've worked around this: I've written a letter of explanation for my clients that paints the picture that they are aware that there are better, safer ways than repeated vaccination and pesticides for HW prevention. If you have any relationship to a holistic vet, you could ask for the same. They just need a reframe, and a DVM on a letter can help them get their minds right.
