I agree, Theresa, all that are born will one day have to die, that's the way life on the planet works, and while grief is natural at a loss of a loved one, my hope is that the joyful memories will supplant that grief in short order.
And, more often than I can count, a beloved pet's death inspires a better, safer path of health care for the next lucky one to join your family. That's a real dedication to their memory.
