except rabies, but through Dr Schultz you can, although my one vial of blood was not able to be tested when it was delivered.

The thoughts not fully expressed was that the decline in infants deaths was largely due to a decline in SIDS (sudden infant death syndrome). The official medical lingo around SIDS is "cause unknown," but many have thought vaccines were the most likely cause. So, less routine vaccines, less SIDS, bringing less infant deaths.
As to protection, there are finally some good studies out showing unvaccinated children are far healthier than those vaccinated. As always, an intact, undisturbed, well nourished immune system is our best defense, regardless of age.
Titer testing is cheaper and always available (with interpretation and "gold standard" testing) from Protect The Pets dot com.
