Hello!

Thank you for all your wonderful work, for helping to save the lives of our precious companion animals!????

Our family rescued an adult male cat right before an ice storm hit our area... He was living behind a grocery store, along with two other cats that we also rescued.

As it would turn out, he tested positive for FIV. Our family is very health conscious, and we are very careful about if and when we vaccinate our animals, too.

We are looking to find this sweet cat - Pop - a wonderful home of his own - to adopt home out to his forever family! In order to do so, I must get him neutered. However, I am very concerned about giving him the Rabies vaccine. Based on my research, the best one I know to give him is the PureVax Rabies. I absolutely know NOT to allow Pop to receive any vaccines that are related to the MRNA technology (“Covid vaccines”).

I am understanding that because cats are more prone to getting cancer from the vaccines, the vaccine should be given as far down their leg as possible.

Pop has only had one (1) FVRCP since we rescued him at the end of December. I also know that I can give him Lyssin to help combat the dangers of the vaccine.

Based on your wealth of expertise, can you please share with me any thoughts you may have on giving Pop the PureVax Rabies vaccine? I am planning on not getting Pop neutered until at least two weeks after his Rabies vaccine. I would never vaccinate him and neuter him on the same day.

Thank you so very much for any help - any advice - any resources - you can share with me!

Maria

Really enjoyed this podcast. My Mom has cats and has been battling the litter box issues. I'm going to share some of Dr. Tasi's tips with her. But, I am going to change the subject here. In September you sent out a newsletter with an article about the use of aspirin in cattle after after calving and the better choice of Arnica. In the article you used the term "bossy" for cows. Where did this come from? I'm from Wisconsin. As a kid that's what we always called our cows. Recently we purchased a home in Texas with acreage, which a neighbor pastured his cows on. I called them bossys. My husband looked at me like I was crazy and asked why I called them that. I said I didn't know, except that's what we always called them. Do you or anyone else know what the origins of the term are?

I look forward to learning more about cats. I have four right now and although they have their catio and indoor trees and playtime and have six litter boxes that are scooped three times a day, and are on a raw food diet, I know I can do more for them. I just gotta know what more I can do!
