I'm just sorry our trust in medicine has been so co-opted. It does pay to pause, do your research, and then decide if you're going to take the drug or procedure that's being offered. Most times, these words will serve you, as you are rarely faced with life or death decisions:
"We'll pass on this today so I can do some more research. I'll be in touch later if we decide to get this treatment from you."
