Oh, God. I'm so sorry to hear this. We trust the vets to have "vetted" the drugs they prescribe, but the sad reality is most of their choices come from listening to the drug reps who sell it. We did this in the conventional clinic I joined out of vet school, and I never even saw any conflict of interest.
I sincerely wish you all peace you can find as you nurse this sweet athlete to a smooth landing.
