OMG. I cringe when I see behavior like this from my profession. It's as if they have lost all respect for their clients and have totally missed the "duration of immunity" understanding from immunology.
That said, Diann, you *may* want to titer test your dog if rabies is truly a risk where and how you live with your dog. "One and done" applies to MLV vaccines, not killed vaccines like rabies.
Also, age of vaccination matters. One rabies vaccine given before 4 months of age is also never a good bet on establishing immunity.
