My vet (very limited choices) has recently adopted this position of if you don't at least give your cat/dog the rabies vax we cannot treat them. Won't even draw blood or do an x-ray! I argued and they said it's state law here in MO.
I went searching to verify that statement and found that it's the law in 50 states that all companion pets must be vaxxed for rabies.
This means no spay/neuter if you don't vax. I am in a pickle. I do not vet unless it's diagnostic or more than I can handle (rare). I have a pack of dogs and even more cats. They are all vital, healthy animals.
I appreciate all your info above. I will be making copies and giving them to my vets for all the good it will do. I will continue to voice my opposition to this horrible practice.
