I am so sorry about your talk, and thank you profusely for sharing your story so that others may avoid what’s happened to you. My dog has been on Apoquel for maybe 2 years now, and I have tried everything to get her off of it, but she still itches and bites and chews like crazy! I have told my vet that I think that the drug gives my dog headaches, because she sometimes jams her head between my legs and acts like her head is really hurting! I then massage her head! I have literally been praying to find a solution and your letter has motivated me to keep trying!

I have a 10 year old boxer who has had allergies and just suffered with itching, chewing of the paws. I tried so many different expensive foods, coconut oil, pumpkin, teremic, and just on and on...put her on that apoquel poison crap, and now I have real problems on my hands! She was diagnosed yesterday, cancer. Tumors, knots, skin tags just sprouting everywhere. I realize that boxers are prone to cancer (didn't know that until after we had 3), and I also know in my heart and GUT, that the apoquel is why she has progressed so quickly. I am sick and heartbroken. I'm angry because they knew my little ones. I could go on and on, about how irresponsible the vets were at the clinic, how this and how that, blah blah blah...but what good does it do now...I just want her better..I didn't want to hear about making her ''comfortable''..that's what we had been TRYING TO DO when we trusted them to help us make her better!! She's my best friend, I take her just about everywhere I go, she sleeps with me. She has me and I have her, we both lost my husband and our 2 other girls like her in 2016. ....but what I really need to know is what I can do to fix this, or slow it down. The thought of losing her, knowing this C thing is inside of her, just makes me sick at heart. Someone please advise on what to do to make her better, this vet has her on an atibiotic and ugh...predisone, which I won't give her, I told him that I don't like that drug and what it does, I wouldn't give it to our other dog. Yet he still thinks because of her age, and for her to have a quality of life left...I get that..but they're like zombies on this med. At least my other girl was, when

My 6 year old french bulldog started Apoquel on 18/3/17 he had his first seizure on 2/4/17 and passed away 4/417 I have no doubt Apoquel is to blame. I have complained to my vets and the makers of Apoquel who all say seizures are not a side effect.

The vet suggested Apoquel for all 3 of my dogs. One of my Tzus , Chyna, had a history of IMHA (immune mediated hemolytic anemia) 5 years previous. None of these dogs was crazily itching. Within 2 months, Chyna collapsed and could not stand. The vet said a relapse of the IMHA. She did not survive. One of Apoquel's side effects is suppression of the bone marrow, which I read after the fact. I discontinued this drug for my remaining two.

Veterinarians do not know this drug, they just tell you what the sales representatives and dermatologists tell them about the drug, they do not do their own research, they do not read on drugs.com and the hundreds of experiments they show and fatal side effects of this drug, veterinarians get commission and freebies from Zoetis-Pfizer, this is a fraud, they make your dog sick with a poisonous, expensive drug and after that they rip you off more because you bring doggie back to them when he is sooo sick from ingesting this poison, you have to pay them for x-rays, blood work , hospital stay, you pay them for getting your dog sicker and causing his death, how about that for a treat? The root of the problem is the FDA for approving such poison, pharmaceutical companies, unethical veterinarians. People who have their dogs died from this should not kept quiet, the FDA will not do anything unless people speak up, only one voice will not be heard.
